What We’re Drinking: Wines of the Week
A day without wine is like……..
Just kidding, we don’t know what that’s like! Check out what your Angels are recommending this week & sip on!
Cono Sur Bicicleta Viognier – err’body say ‘hay; for VOIGNN-YAY! We love this steal of a wine from Cono Sur! You can’t go wrong with picking up a few bottles for all your friends this weekend!
Tasting Note: Pale gold colour; tropical fruit aromas with melon, peach and orange blossom notes; dry, medium bodied, with great acidity and flavours of grapefruit, peach, green apple and pineapple; good length on the finish via LCBO.
Find it for $11.10 (regular price) at the LCBO here!
Cono Sur 20 Barrels Cabernet Sauvignon 2014 – We were delighted to have the winemaker from Cono Sur in the Wine Cave earlier this month to taste the full portfolio, and this wine proves that they are making some top notch juice!
Tasting Note: This wine has a beautiful, concentrated ruby red colouring and intense aromas of plum, cassis and blueberries, which combine gracefully with softer earthy traces and end with hints of mocha and smoke. A full, complex and intense palate with persistence and an elegant finish via LCBO
Find it for $30.40 at the LCBO here!
Creekside Cabernet Rosé 2016 – This was a standout at our recent Rosé All Day tasting event! The rich and robust notes from the Cabernet don;t play around. This is definitely a Rosé for serious wine drinkers!
Tasting Note: This will be an impressive and structured rosé. Expect an excellent depth to the fruit, particularly with the red pepper and strawberry tones. This will be great when paired with grilled salmon steaks or mildly spiced barbequed sausages via LCBO
Find it for $14.95 at the LCBO here!
