Osborne Santa Maria Cream Sherry – This Cream Sherry was recently featured in our #MeetMontecillo dinner series with chef Mike Ward. The series, that is part of the iYellow Supper Club is something you don’t want to miss!

Tasting Note: Copper amber colour; Complex aromas and flavours of date, prune, sultana raisins, orange, demerara sugar and spice; Sweet, medium-bodied, honeyed style with a long finish and a fine seam of balancing acidity.

Anselmann Edesheimer Ordensgut Dry Dornfelder 2015

Tasting Note: Dornfelder has a complicated lineage. It was created in 1956 when the German grapes Helfensteiner and Heroldrebe (each also crosses of other German red grapes) were crossed with one other. This means that Dornfelder not only is Germany’s most successful native grape, but also contains the DNA of nearly every red grape grown in Germany. This 2015 example is floral with ripe dark fruit, cherry and plum, and a light smoky undertone. It’s an easy-drinking, value-priced wine that will be ideal with roast beef or pork. (Vintages panel, Aug. 2016)
