Sparkling wine has that certain fancy element that makes it so much fun to drink around the holidays.

Of course, you can pop it to drink it on its own, but why not try a bubbly cocktail? Here are three easy and delicious recipes you can try next time you open a bottle.

The French 75

Love gin and bubbly? Combine the two with a splash of lemon in this classic cocktail.

What you need:

1 oz. gin

1 tbsp lemon juice

1 tbsp simple syrup

Sparkling wine

What you do:

Pour the gin, lemon juice and simple syrup into your champagne flute. Top with sparkling wine and give it a gentle stir. Garnish with a strip of lemon zest if you like.

The Black Velvet

This cocktail combines sparkling wine and beer and while you may think this is an unlikely pairing – trust us!

What you need:

1 part sparkling wine

1 part stout beer

What you do:

Fill your glass halfway with sparkling wine. Top it with the stout beer. If you pour carefully you may even be able to float the beer on top of the bubbly which looks amazing!

Icewine Royale

This cocktail is as Canadian as it gets, made with our iconic Icewine.

What you need:

2 oz sparkling wine

1 oz Icewine (Cabernet Franc or Cabernet Sauvignon Icewine works best)

What you do:

Fill your flute with your bubbly and add the Icewine.
