Whether you are spending Canada Day barbecuing, brunching, or at the beach, we have compiled a list of Canadian-owned alcoholic beverages that are perfect for any activity this July 1st. All of the drinks included in this guide can be found at your local LCBO!

BARBECUE

Rickards’s Red, brought to you by Molson, is a flavourful, refreshing, medium-bodied Red Ale. It has a slight bitterness that is balanced out with a caramel malt sweetness. Not only does this pair well with grilled meats, but it is also ruby red in colour, how fitting for Canada’s birthday!

For those of you who are cider fans, Duxbury Cider Co. makes an Original Sideroad Dry Cider. It has aromas of apple, citrus and a touch of honey, with flavours of red apple, lime and spiced applesauce. The apples for this light and crisp cider were sourced from valleys that surround Georgian Bay.

BRUNCH

Many consider the Caesar as Canada’s National Cocktail, so July 1st is the perfect excuse to have one (or two). The Classic Walter Caesar is a blend of hot sauce, spices, Worcestershire sauce, horseradish, and clam juice. With flavours of savoury spice combined with sweet hints of tomato and a bit of tanginess from the clam juice, this drink should definitely be on your LCBO list.

Mimosas are always a brunch classic but this Canada Day we are mixing it up a little. With flavours of sweet candied orange, creamy vanilla and a touch of coconut, the Bacardi Breezer Tropical Orange Smoothie is the perfect drink to start celebrating with.

BEACH

Lemonade is a perfect beach refresher, especially when it’s Raspberry Lemonade from JuiceBox. This light and fruity craft beer and lemonade combo is packed into their signature red and white cans, meaning that you can show off Canada’s iconic colours from your fingertips!

Make it a ‘Rosé all day’ type of Canada Day with Wildass Rosé from Stratus Vineyards. This cute and convenient wine is dry and medium-bodied with notes of strawberry, raspberry, cherry and orange peel.
